Robert J. Fraik

Rob concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, and real estate. 

Rob joined Drahos Kieson & Christopher in 2023 after transitioning from a career in law enforcement. Before becoming an attorney, he served as an Investigator with the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office and Special Agent with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. His extensive background in criminal investigations, including work featured in crime documentaries, such as Homicide Hunter: American Detective, provides him with an analytical mindset and attention to detail that greatly enhances his legal practice.

Rob is a Veteran of the Army National Guard as an Infantryman, having served overseas in Iraq and Bosnia.

Rob teaches several courses at Bemidji State University and has a special interest in preparing students for law school and careers in law enforcement.

Rob was born and raised in International Falls, MN. He now resides in Bemidji with his wife, Jennifer, and their two sons. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and traveling. On weekends, he can  be found fishing for walleyes on Rainy Lake or spending time at his hunting shack in rural Littlefork. 

Rob also enjoys contributing to the community by volunteering with area youth organizations.
